In 1998, Takeshi started with glass at Tokyo Glass Institute in Japan. After then he taught kiln-forming techniques in his studio in Kawasaki. In 2002 he moved to Europe, where he focused on conceptual art and after graduating from Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam he returned to Japan. In 2010 he received a scholarship for his studies at UMPRUM in Prague. Since then, he lives and works in Czech Republic. Takeshi is participating in various symposiums around the world. His works are paraphrases of Buddhist sculptures and decorations.
