Ondřej is the youngest son of the internationally renowned glass artist Petr Novotný, who was one of the pioneers of the studio glass movement in the eighties. Ondřej studied at tha Glass School in Nový Bor. After he finished his studies in 2004, he travelled between the USA and Europe while gaining valuable experience and developing his skills. Since 2010, Ondřej has been member of Martin Janecký team, which changed his way of seeing glassworking completely. Recently, he has worked for various artists and designers from the Netherland and the Czech Republic. His work is distinct by an aesthetic approach of glassworking, represented by vivid colours, symmetry and balance.
