After she finished the secondary school, her journey throught the world of glass began. Verena studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and Design school in Bornholm and then received a scholarship for a short stay in Penland School of Craft or in Corning Museum of Glass in the USA. She received her master degree in 2015, in the glass studio at the Institute of Fine Arts in Höhr-Grenzhausen in Germany, where she currently works as teacher. Her work focuses on the transformation proces – material, visual and imaginary. It is because of the quality of glass that she can express the invisibility and distortion of our consciousness in her works.
