Erika received her BFA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she focused mostly on ceramics and Chinese painting and calligraphy. Her first experience with glass came two years ago and she was immediately enthralled by the beauty and challenges of the medium. For to better understanding of the glass techniques, Erika travelled from Hong Kong to Czech Republic in early 2017 to learn glassblowing with Ondrej Novotny at Ajeto glassworks in Nový Bor. She then further learned with American glass master Rob Stern during his class at the Glass Art Centre in Sázava, where she created several glass objects under his guidance.
