Ondrej is the youngest son of the internationally renowned glass artist Petr Novotny, who was one of the pioneers of the glass studio-movement in the eighties. Ondrej studied at the Glass School in Novy Bor. After he finished his studies (2004), he travelled between the USA and Europe while gaining valuable experience and developing his skills. since 2010, Ondrej has been member of Martin Janecky team, which changed his way of seeing glassworking completely. recently, he was worked for various artists and designers from the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. His work is distinct by an aesthetic approach of glassworking, represented by vivid colours, symmetry and balance. XXX
